Fences
like these along our border with Mexico have been unable to stop the
thousands of illegals entering the U.S. each day. Far too many

enforcement personnel because of the drug cartels and human
smuggling. While responding to a Border Patrol request for help on
August 9, 2002, National
Park Ranger Kris Eggle was shot and killed by a drug smuggler armed
with an assault rifle.
